I. Introduction
We are committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to our website and users of our services.
These rules apply wherever we act as the controller of personal data of visitors to our website, clients of our clinic, and users of our services.
On your first visit to the website we ask for your consent to the use of cookies.

II. Data protection officer

III. How we use personal data
This site currently does not use analytics or advertising cookies beyond what is strictly necessary for it to function. If we deploy tools such as Google Analytics in the future, we will do so only after implementing a working cookie consent mechanism, and we will update this page before that happens.
Information you provide voluntarily (e.g. via a contact form or by phone) is processed on the basis of your consent or our legitimate interest in handling your request.
Correspondence data is processed on the basis of legitimate interest — running the website, communicating with clients, and fulfilling contracts.
Data necessary to comply with a legal obligation or to protect vital interests is processed on that legal basis.
IV. Disclosure of personal data to third parties
We disclose personal data to third parties only where necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect vital interests, or establish or defend legal claims.
V. International transfers of personal data
Data published via the website or our services may be accessible worldwide over the internet; we cannot fully prevent its use or misuse by third parties.
VI. Retention and deletion of personal data
We do not retain data for longer than necessary for its purpose. The maximum retention period is 10 years.
The exception is data necessary to comply with a legal obligation or to protect vital interests.
VII. Changes and updates
We may update these rules by publishing a new version on the website — we recommend checking this page occasionally.
VIII. Data subject rights
You have the right to: (a) access your data, (b) rectification, (c) erasure, (d) restriction of processing, (e) object to processing, (f) data portability, (g) lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, (h) withdraw consent.
We're happy to explain the details of any of these rights (e.g. exceptions to erasure or the conditions for restricting processing) — contact the data protection officer above.
IX. Legal framework
Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR).
The Constitution of the Slovak Republic and related international agreements.
Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data.
Act No. 211/2000 Coll. on Free Access to Information.
X. Cookies
A cookie is a small file with an identifier that a server sends to your browser, which stores it and sends it back to the server with each subsequent request.
Cookies are either persistent (valid until an expiry date, unless you delete them) or session cookies (expire when you close your browser).
This site currently uses only strictly necessary cookies required for it to function. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies (e.g. Google Analytics or Facebook) — if that changes, we will first implement working cookie consent and update this page.
With your consent (the "Accept all" button in the cookie bar) we also load the Google Maps map from Google, which may set cookies and where Google receives your IP address. Without your consent the map is not loaded. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
The doctors' schedule is loaded from our own server (veterinapoprad.sk). It sets no cookies and sends nothing to third parties, so it is shown without consent.
Most browsers let you decline or delete cookies; the process varies by browser. Blocking all cookies may limit the functionality of some websites.
